As a child who regularly asked Jeeves if I could sleep on a cloud without falling through (hoping for a more optimistic answer each time I punched my query into the bulky old keyboard, of course), I'm a big sucker for white bedrooms as an adult. It's a natural evolution. And whether or not you share that Disney-fueled fantasy, all-white interiors are a fitting choice in the bedroom, where setting a dreamy mood is of utmost importance. So to prove that this monochromatic palette is anything but one-dimensional and boring, I rounded up over twenty soothing, elegant, and surprisingly lush white bedrooms. Keep reading for a fresh batch of white bedroom design ideas that even rainbow-loving, Lisa Frank loyalists will fall for.

In this primary bedroom, designer Andy Beers of Ore Studios opted for less saturated versions of the colors used in the common rooms for a calming but continuous design. Crisp whites contrast with inky blacks and are united by a deep midnight blue tone.

Low ceilings can actually be a blessing, especially when the goal is to get cozy. In this Nantucket guest room, Elizabeth Georgantas embraced the low ceilings by opting for a curved four-poster bed that reaches up to the exposed beams. She then opened up the room by painting everything a soothing shade of off-white.

So that he could center a headboard on the wall, designer Shawn Henderson closed up a decorative fireplace. He decided not to extend it over the whole wall, leaving the corners empty for decorative statements. A coat of white paint helps the exposed brick wall blend in.

"I'm a big believer that within a home, different rooms should evoke different feelings and purposes," says designer Nanette Brown. The rest of the rooms in this NYC home are painted in deep, dark tones, while the bedroom features the opposite approach.

There are no rules here—which is to say, color is definitely not off limits. In this bedroom, design firm Abney & Morton painted the floors a light blue and laid down a similarly-hued rug. Then they chose a soothing olive fabric for the headboard, bed skirt, and chair, while white still dominates the rest of the room.

I want nothing more than to swan dive straight into this heavenly bed. Though there's not a lot going on in the room, it projects a strong sense of personal style. That's thanks to the details, from the frameless round mirror to the wrinkled linen bedding. Sometimes less is more and this is definitely one of those times.

While only key pieces in this bedroom designed by Nicole Hollis are white (read: the bedding and walls), they tighten up the entire space. At the same time, the white elements doesn't diminish the moodier, more grounding pieces, like the artwork and furniture.

Choose a super simple cream, oat, and white color spectrum for a laidback and approachable style like this space designed by Hecker Guthrie (not to mention, a very easy decorating process). To keep that vibe alive, opt for an easy, affordable, chic bedside table that isn't really a table by stacking up some books.
